Why do people think that record sales say anything about an artists talent?
It doesn’t take a look at Talib Kweli, one of the best rappers by far he sold only 60, 000 in one week. But does that mean he’s a bad rapper? No. Same with Nas he doesn’t come close to selling a million but he’s the best rapper out by far.
If anything Record sales show the incompetence of the American people when it comes to hip-hop.

P.S. – Please don’t mention any recording artists that are associated with any of the three major record labels (Sony, WEA, and Universal). Also, the artist don’t have to be singers.
