like since u been gone by kelly clarkson was recorded by a day to remember. Cobra Starship recorded I kissed a boy and Hollaback boy. I really like the rock and screamo bands doing pop songs, does anyone know what this is called?!?!? and does anyone have any suggestions?

is there any record label out there that would sign a young rock band

So this is an age old question but if your in a seriously good band and want to get heard by a label is there any way you can get your music listened to. i know a lot of these demos get thrown in the trash but my band is really good and i dont want to send copies of our album to a label just to have them thrown away without even being played. if anybody knows any tips or ways to properly submit to a label please let me know.

Iv’e seen shows like disBand were a band goes to greg nori and gets ready for a giant performance to an: A&R – ( what does this person do? answer on my other question),Agent and some other judges. Without going on t.v how can i show them we want a record label to sign us?

A friend of mind who is a singer she writes her own lyrics , and has a producer who produced her tracks that she sings too. If she is signed to a record label do they provide ,and hire a band for her?
She doesn’t have a band ,but she has talent and she knows how to manage her business and represent herself.. Any advice?
