This is a concept i’ve never really grasped. Often times people will say *insert rapper* has to create beefs with someone else to sell records…now I cant speak for everyone, but when i hear about two artists beefin that doesnt make me think “o shyt, this guys dissin somebody? let me go cop his album”….but thats just me

Difference between actual “singers” and “recording artists”?

Singers are the ones that can actually sing without any help from instruments and/or recording machines like: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christine Aguilera, Alicia Keys…

Recording artists are the ones that need synthesizers (recording machines) to fix their voice like: Britney Spears, J-Lo, both Jessica and Ashlee Simpson…

Am I correct? The singers can all sing a cappella. None of the recording artists can not sing a cappella! Am I calling the ones the can not sing a cappella the correct…label.: Recording artists. If not what are they called?

Trying to settlement an argument here.

Thank you very much.
