I am on the computer and when i turn on my speakers random music from opera to country to rock is playing. i have no internet, no lime wire, no itunes or AIM open. absolutely nothing. news reports from barack obama to hillary clinton’s senate seat are playing in the back ground, just the sound. its driving me crazy! what is causing this?? what can i do??

I want to use my good quality (expensive) hi-fi rather than a cheap turntable ……

Is there a special program i can buy for my computer, or some component that lets me do that? and if there is i would like to know the cost

But I do not know how to get rid of it! I hear music and newscasts that fade in and out when ever the speakers are turned on. No applications are running I have no idea where this is coming from.
Is there a way to look for a program that may have installed it self on my computer?
The speakers are fine, not wireless its something on my computer, how can I track it?

(I’m fully aware that there’s NO substitute for a real drummer!)

I’m planning on getting my first turntable and buying some vinyl records, mostly to listen to the records themselves but I’d also like to transfer the songs to my computer and put them on my iPod or on CDs. Will the sound quality of the songs change when I convert them to MP3s and burn them to CDs?

I want to make CD-R recordings of some out-of-print cassettes and vinyl records that I already own. This is not to violate copywrite as I don’t go for that – this is simply for personal use. I have some brand new high-end PC’s so, that end I got covered.

What software do I need?
Is it Freeware or commercially available?
How can I enhance the new sound files before creating the CD copies?
Which file format is best?
Should file compression be used?

Do I just plug the playback device directly into my sound card or is there more to it than that?

Or is it better to hire the work done by someone who knows what they are doing?

I have a ton of vinyl records and would like to be able to put them onto my computer so I can transfer them to an iPod or a Zune so I can listen to them. How do you get music off of vinyl and onto a computer in Mp3 format? I have a record player and a computer, but no idea how to link the 2. Suggestions?
