I was wondering if there was a way to convert my records to my computer and/or cd. I have a Crosley Rochester record player. There is no line out on the machine. Is there an alternative way to transfer the music? Here is a link to the record player I own

I know its possible to convert Vinyl Records to MP3 format. But is it possible the other way around.

Can you convert MP3 files onto vinyl? I know there are special Vinyls you can buy to records blank stuff on etc.

I was also told about Solaris software to do this… again not clear on that as i cant find it.

Anyone got any software suggestions that convert MP3 to Vinyl. Not the other way around.

I am new at collecting records so I am unsure as to what brand is good at converting.

I prefer to buy one machine that does both vinyl and tape, and it has to have a turntable since I don’t have one. I also prefer one that will dump the MP3 files onto a flash drive, rather than connecting to a computer or burning a CD. I can’t seem to find any reliable information about these gadgets online.

I want to make CD-R recordings of some out-of-print cassettes and vinyl records that I already own. This is not to violate copywrite as I don’t go for that – this is simply for personal use. I have some brand new high-end PC’s so, that end I got covered.

What software do I need?
Is it Freeware or commercially available?
How can I enhance the new sound files before creating the CD copies?
Which file format is best?
Should file compression be used?

Do I just plug the playback device directly into my sound card or is there more to it than that?

Or is it better to hire the work done by someone who knows what they are doing?

I have lots of vinyl records (cos I’m old) and feel cheated having to buy the same stuff again in digital. How can I transfer the vinyl onto the computer?
