Really when I think of it, it is really amazing that so many sounds can fit into an unassuming grove to produce coherent music. How do they do it? What are the physics behind that?
What I mean is how do they ‘engrave’ sound into vinyl?

I have records and I am trying to copy some of the albums into a digital format. What is the best way to accomplish this? What software/hardware might I need?

I already put songs on myspace, but i wanna do more.
if i can’t get a record label, at least be a well-known unsigned artist.

i stupidly bought a vinyl thinking it was a cd.. i was just to excited bout the songs on it to realize it wasn’t a cd… so anyways the record player we have is like sooooo old and not sure it still works and anyways i read you can transfer the vinyl into a cd so was wondering if anyone knows of any places in missouri or saint louis, missouri that would offer that service? thanks in advance.
or actually any place that is online that you could mail them and they would send back the cd would be fine as well..

Like the whole process. Like how do you put ur voice or music into the record and how is the music stored in the vinyl record? and how is it played back? Like which part of the record is the music stored on the record?

I have a ton of vinyl records and would like to be able to put them onto my computer so I can transfer them to an iPod or a Zune so I can listen to them. How do you get music off of vinyl and onto a computer in Mp3 format? I have a record player and a computer, but no idea how to link the 2. Suggestions?
