I want to send my demo to someone but the one’s I’ve tried don’t accept unsolicited demos. I sing very well and I want it to be a pop-rock label. Not a pop label. Not a rock label. A pop-rock label. Pop-Rock and Power Pop. Thanks.

I’ve been doing music for sometime now and just lack the support I need to get over the top. Is there anyone on here that knows where I can find a manager to shop my music to record labels?

I’m writing an article about the current state of the music industry, and I need some definitive facts. Does anyone know how much recording artists make per CD on average (to clarify, recording artists that are signed to one of the major record labels). Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought it was a very very small amount (and that the major labels take the bulk of the revenue). Also, if you supply an answer, I need to see where you got your information (so i can include citations in the article).
