I’m in a band and we are pretty awesome. Is it possible to get a record contract with a major label without having to tour incessantly for a very long time? What’s the fastest way to a major contract, as a band, and as a singer/songwriter?

Yeah so basically what is the usual amout an artist is payed (advanced) when they sign with a major label. I want to know a lump sum, I dont need anyone explaining to me about how bands dont really make any money. I more interested in just what they usually advance. Keep in mind the record deal would be for a 5 member boy band.
