I have been singing locally and in cafe’s and stuff.

But can anyone give me steps (shortcut way) on how to get signed to a record label?

If you are not rich nor poor. Just normal.

I mean i have talent, money (not a lot, but enough), umm and i need to get signed to a record label??

I remember searching through bands that are signed to certain labels and knowing I’m simply better then them. I would not want to be signed to a major record label simply because of the way the music scene is today. I know it’s possible to make a living off of playing music. Does anyone know how much recording artists make per CD on average (to clarify, recording artists that are signed to one of the major record labels). Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought it was a very very small amount (and that the major labels take the bulk of the revenue). Also, if you supply an answer, I need to see where you got your information (so i can include citations in the article).
