What Do You Think Of This Breaking Music News…?
Please give opinions on this…it was announced a couple days ago, that Radiohead have decided to release their new album, called “In Rainbows”, on just their website…and here’s the kicker…it costs WHATEVER YOU WANT IT to cost. The only mandatory fee is 90 cents for the credit card transaction. Or if you feel they deserve it, you can pay 100 dollars for it. They’re leaving it up to their fans, to decide what their music is worth to them. Obviously, this is REALLY making the big record companies mad, because they’re worried it will make their mandatory-priced 20 dollar cd’s seem overpriced. But here’s the funny thing; early reports are that fans are paying, on average, about 15 dollars…almost full cost for a storebought cd. So the question is- regardless of what you think of Radiohead specifically- what do you think of their IDEA? They’re basically trusting their fans, to pay whatever they think is fair. Like the idea? Dislike? Think it’s suicide? Or brilliant?
i will like to incorporate daily sports, music, and entertainment news on my new website. how can i do this?
i have purchased a domain name and hosting company. and i am building my website myself. however i would like to have daily entertainment, sports, and music news enlisted on my website. what will i have to do in order to put these features on my homepage and throughout pages on my site? so that people can click on those links and read designated daily news in those categories.
Do you think this video proves even recording artists like Ke$ha have some form of talent?
I hate to say it, but I actually like Ke$ha too… well, her music, that is. Her songs are just so damn catchy!
What is the Hype of this new vinyl records in stores?
I mean, granted I don’t have a record player and listen to music on cd’s. Do you have to buy a certain type of record player to listen to these records? Why would you want too? Do they sound better? Is it the nostalgia?
Almost all the record stores are selling these records. But I don’t get it. There must be a market, or they wouldn’t sell. Who the heck is buying them and why?
Musicicans/ home recording artists etc PLEASE RESPOND. need your ideas on this?
When i lay down my vocal tracks I prefer to be all on my own, with nobody around that can hear me. Howver this isnt about being shy about singing cause i do gigs no prob.
But when Im perfecting a vocal track i dont want ANYONE listening to me. Not even sound engineer (no point anyway cuz laptop home recording)
Is anyone else like this?
If so, where do you record your vocals? ??
Middle aged people who grew up with vinyl records: Would you like this gift or not?
My parents each have a vinyl record that they especially like to play at christmas from their own childhood. Because they are very old records, the sound quality is pretty bad and getting worse.
I always thought about getting them CD versions so that the sound quality would be better.
So I’m appealing to people in that general age group (around 50): assuming I could find these albums, would this be a gift that you would appreciate? Or would it not be the same if it wasn’t a record?
