I’ve heard of vinyl records going bad and really out of shape and unplayable. Is this true, and can I prevent it? how?

would you flip her over and do the ‘B’ side just to shut her up?

I found an old piece of paper in my attic which I wrote back in 1991 when I was cleaning a Morrissey single called ‘Sing Your Life’.. It says to wash them under the tap, then add a ‘dime sized’ amount of washing up liquid, get some toilet paper and scrub it in a gentle circular motion, then wash off with distilled water.

Is this good for my records? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I still listen to them even though I can go out and buy the album on CD. Does anyone else do this?

Some turntables feature USB output for digitizing your records. Once in a digital format, what laws apply to these files? Can I legally do as I please with these songs (i.e. transfer to my portable music player)?

I know some songs downloaded from digital music services cannot always be transferred in this way-legally- so that’s why I ask.

Music will probably be on small chips or something by then?

Could you imagine bands like Incubus and Kings of Leon being considered classic rock?

Bands like Lynrd Skynrd, Pink Floyd and The Jimi Hendrix Experience may be completely forgotten?
