the size. i’m not quite sure of the rest. which one is the standard 45rpm?

  • FERpect:

the 12 inch records play at 33.5 rpm and the 7 inch records play at 45 rpm, both can be played on any record players if they have the speed configuration.

  • Mick W:

the larger normally plays at 33 1/3 RPM the smaller at 45 RPM.

  • Hi honey:

aside from the size, there is no difference in sound quality.
the 7 inch record require an adapter since the center hole is larger.
12 inch plays at 33 rpm and 7 inch at 45 rpm
and yes, all vinyl records can be played on any record player.

the 12″ is an LP full length record that plays at 33-1/3 rpm
the 7″ is a 45rpm with one song on each side
